Amahl and the Night Visitors has a magical effect on an audience. From the beginning strains of little Amahl’s pipe tune, to the end of the opera when the tune returns, the audience is spellbound by the interplay of the various characters. Seasoned NYC Opera tenor, Paul Mow, will direct and perform in this holiday opera, along with a cast of talented local performers. Menotti has written many operas, but none has so caught the imagination of music lovers as has Amahl and the Night Visitors. This opera is truly a masterpiece.
