Songwriters, singers and musicians Tony Arata, J. Fred Knobloch, and Thom Schuyler, along with acclaimed harmonic-player, Jellyroll Johnson have been entertaining audiences in Nashville and around the world for three decades.  Together in a casual setting their songs, stories, banter, and excellent musicianship provide a unique and one-of-a-kind musical experience.  Their stellar list of award-winning compositions is most impressive and their warm and engaging styles and spontaneous interaction with each other and their audience creates a highly professional show with living room atmosphere.

The Words & Music Songwriting Workshop

Led by Nashville Songwriters’ Hall of Fame songwriter Thom Schuyler,
The Words & Music Songwriting Workshop is designed for beginners, amateurs and professionals.
Joined by legendary songwriters Tony Arata and J. Fred Knobloch, along with acclaimed harmonica player,
Jellyroll Johnson, the workshop will focus on the fundamentals of the songwriting craft.
Recommended for 16 and older.

Within the 3-hour program attendees will:
• Participate in lyric writing exercises
• Discuss song concepts
• Analyze hit songs both musically and lyrically
• Examine song structure
• Talk about the current state of the music business
• Compose topical lyrics
• Have an opportunity for Q & A

There will be an opportunity for select attendees to have their songs reviewed by the instructors.
